Introduction and Section One - History of Asbestos
This unit sets out the content and structure of the course and gives the learner an introduction to the history and the various types of this potentially hazardous substance.

This section explores the main legislation around asbestos and outlines key responsibilities of employers and employees with regard to working with asbestos.

In this section, we describe what is meant by the term "risk assessment", and why it is crucial to identify potential hazards and plan control measures.

The section covers the key points that demonstrate what needs to be done to comply with regulations regarding asbestos.

Obtaining your certificate
You will need to pass a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course in order to gain your accreditation. Once passed, we will send your official certificate by email.
